Works in Progress

Here's some recent pieces that are in progress.  These pieces are a continuation of my exploration of form, texture, and function.

What to do with a decommissioned paint booth....

....Turn it into a photo booth.

Since the paint booth gets next to no use, it is now used for installations and photography. Why wasn't this done sooner? Now I can take those long needed photos of my recent work. And, in the spirit of re-purposing to reduce costs, the 6' tall wall was originally the shipping pallet from the new kiln. I have to thank Marta for the wonderful suggestion.

The new studio thanks to the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design

The kilns have finally arrived and are now installed!

Time to do the initial firings and start cranking out some work.  I would like to begin this blog by thanking the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design for the Windgate Fellowship that has allowed me to furnish my studio and continue my work.  I will regularly update this blog with posts related to my fulfillment of the fellowship over the next 18 months.

Building the new studio.

Starting the setup of the studio. Tables are definitely a must for any workspace.
